Description |
Interview of David C. Driskell on Time at Talladega College and Catholic University of America; Julie McGee; 2004 Jul 6 In 2004, Julie McGee, author of "David C. Driskell: Artist and Scholar," conducted several interviews with David C. Driskell as part of research for writing the book. According to an email exchange with Julie McGee, she divided the interviews into institutions (where he was both student and educator) which is the rubric chosen to frame the discussion and questions. Prior to each session she provided David Driskell with a longer set of questions, talking points, or historical markers that kept them on track for focused conversation. The interviews were all done in Falmouth, Maine. This interview of David C. Driskell conducted by Julie McGee focuses on his time as Assistant Professor of Art at Talladega College (1955-1962) and as a Master's of Fine Arts student at Catholic University of America (1958-1962). This videotape was digitized through the Digitization Project initiative, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
