Description |
Interview of David C. Driskell; Julie McGee; 2004 Oct 21 In 2004, Julie McGee, author of "David C. Driskell: Artist and Scholar," conducted several interviews with David C. Driskell as part of research for writing the book. According to an email exchange with Julie McGee, she divided the interviews into institutions (where he was both student and educator) which is the rubric chosen to frame the discussion and questions. Prior to each session she provided David Driskell with a longer set of questions, talking points, or historical markers that kept them on track for focused conversation. The interviews were all done in Falmouth, Maine. The label on the VHS for this interview does not give information on what the interview was about, but since it is the last one in the series, it may be a wrap up session. This videotape was digitized through the Digitization Project initiative, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
