Description |
A depiction of an African American man standing under a tree with several green vines with leaves. He is wearing a long dark tunic with a light blue v-shape at the center and a long necklace of irregular pink color beads. The fingers of both hands are crossed in front of him. The paper has a 4" x 4" piece of paper is placed on the larger piece of paper and the image is painted on both paper together. The bottom and left edges of the large piece are uneven, as if torn from a larger piece of paper. Around his head there are 1.5" round shapes of color, left to right, green, terricota/orange, and blue. At BRC, signature: Rico A in pencil and there are letters embossed in the paper: AOUARELE ARCH--- On the back BLC, label with image of the work and typed: 2001.027 Anderson Rico The Storyteller |
