Associated archival material is located in 2 Hollinger boxes to the right and on the shelf below the books. Folders within the Hollinger boxes are arranged chronologically by the first year of the contents inside and the contents within the folders are also arranged chronologically. Box 02 contains research on Lois Jones which has been kept in its original order.
Description
This gallery contains a collection of writings by Faith Ringgold from 1969-2012, including three binders created by Faith Ringgold containing 61 works such as stories, song lyrics, texts from story quilts, and speeches. The gallery also contains a collection of published books and other publications in which her writing is located. The researcher will also find writings, drafts, notes, and sometimes sketches from 1969-2004. Highlights include two folders that contain research on the artist Lois Jones that was probably used in two essays that Ringgold wrote.
