Description |
This series focuses on David C. Driskell's professional life as an artist, curator, and collector and his activity in the world of art exhibitions. The first two series pull together records, ephemera, and exhibition catalogues for exhibitions in which Prof. Driskell's own artwork has been featured. Sub-Series 3 consists of records Prof. Driskell kept about exhibitions that he curated himself while Sub-Series 4 focuses on the exhibition which featured his own personal art collection, "Narratives of African American Art." The records in each sub-series contain correspondence, meeting minutes, ephemera, loan agreements, notes, exhibition catalogues, and other documentation of the exhibitions.
