Collection Faith Ringgold Study Room Collection
System of arrangement The first 45 catalogues were numbered by the artist and are arranged in numerical order. The remaining catalogues are arranged chronologically according to publication year and are numbered following the sequence of the artist's numbered catalogues. Associated archival material is located in Hollinger boxes immediately after the catalogues. Folders within Hollinger boxes are arranged chronologically by the first year of the contents inside and the contents within the folders are also arranged chronologically.
Description This gallery contains 230 exhibition catalogues in which Faith Ringgold's work was featured from 1968-2016 as well as ephemera, clippings, and video recordings from exhibitions. Highlights include separate folders containing correspondence, publicity, planning memos, news articles, etc. on "The Artist & the Quilt" (1983) and Faith Ringgold's "20 Year Retrospective" (1984) exhibitions.
